Pork chops are best when coated with breadcrumbs and then baked in the oven. They are exceedingly moist and full of flavor when cooked this way. Below is my recipe for panko crusted pork chops. The Panko breadcrumbs are seasoned with some Italian seasoning and parsley to give this dish an Italian flavor. I use panko breadcrumbs in this recipe since they tend to make a crispier crust.
Ingredients:
4 bone-in pork chops, 1 inch thick
1/2 teaspoon of garlic salt
1/8 teaspoon of ground black pepper
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup of Panko breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon of Italian Seasoning
2 tablespoons of fresh parsley, minced
2 eggs, beaten
2 tablespoons of milk
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. and take a baking sheet and spray it with some cooking spray.
You will want to begin by seasoning your pork chops on both sides with your garlic salt and pepper.
Now, combine the Panko breadcrumbs and Italian seasoning and parsley in a shallow bowl and mix them together. In a second shallow bowl add in your eggs and milk and then beat them together. Now take your pork chops and one by one dip them into the egg mixture and then dredge them into the panko mixture and make sure to fully coat your chops.
You will want to place your pork chops on your prepared baking sheet and then place your baking sheet in the oven and bake your pork chops for 25 to 30 minutes. You want your crust to be a golden brown and the internal temperature of your panko crusted pork chop to reach 160 degrees F. Let your them rest for 5 minutes after you remove them from the oven. enjoy
